ALDI Helps the student community with their learning problems and support their parents, teachers, and caretakers to understand and help their children. It started in 1994.
Two people, with similar passion and matching thoughts, Sri V V Joseph and Dr Arun Kishore met each other at the doctor's clinic in 1994. The compadres identified each other and decided to put their brains together. Joseph Maash, as people call him with respect was in the field of taking private tuitions and doing interventions at various schools in and around Thrissur. Dr Arun Kishore was the Associate Prof in Thrissur Medical College during that time. This meeting and the friendship grown between them led to the official formation of ALDI in an organised manner as it is today.
We, Mrs Lincy Francis and my husband V V Francis still remember the struggles we had fought for our son Sanu Francis. He had dyslexia. This condition made it literally impossible for him to read and write. He couldn't even remember alphabets and numbers were something he couldn't grasp. ALDI and Joseph Maash stood with us as rock piller support and guided us in each and every difficult situation. Sanu slowly cleared all the exams in his way and along with the academics, he mastered all the life skills necessary for an independent living. Today we are the proud parents of Sanu who is a student at University of Hertfordshire, U.K. He is doing his B.A. in animation and V.F.X. He is also an earning member of the society by working as a freelancer in his field of expertise. We are sure that ALDI and it's strong support group will be there with us when our Sanu gets ready to set up his own family.
